Susquehanna Health Foundation asked our department leaders to share their wish lists — items that operational funding cannot cover this year.
The Foundation is asking the community to provide the necessary funds, or a portion of the funds, to purchase the items below. If you would like to make a gift to purchase one or more Wish List items, please use our donation form and note in the comments section which item(s) you would like to fund.
Gas for Cancer Center Transport Van — Any Amount
UPMC Hillman Cancer Centers in Williamsport and Wellsboro
One of the greatest needs for patients in our region undergoing cancer treatment is transportation. Your gift will help patients in need travel to their treatments.
Activities for Senior Communities – $25
Muncy Place, Haven Place, and The Green Home
The past year has been difficult, especially for residents of our senior communities, where group activities have been on hold. We have more than 200 residents in need of crossword puzzle books, word finds, playing cards, markers, gel pens, art kits, and hook rugs. Your donation will bring smiles to residents and help occupy their time in a structured way.
Books for Children - $100
Pediatric and Emergency Departments
Children are often afraid when they come to the hospital. When children aren’t feeling well, a simple book can brighten their day or provide parents with a way to calm them. Your support will give children a book to read while they’re being cared for and that they can take home with them after their visit.
Seascape Magnetic Play Table - $800
UPMC Williamsport Emergency Department
Being at the hospital can cause children to feel anxious. Your gift will provide a large play table for the emergency department waiting room. This magnetic under-the-sea-themed table will allow children to play and express their creativity while they wait.
